https://wgme.com/news/local/york-county-mosquitoes-test-positive-for-eeeI noticed last night that a great many of our players are loaded up with bug bites. Every season we start getting alerts that mosquito carrying diseases like Eastern Equine Encephalitis and West Nile have made their way into York County- reports of both have already been reported in neighboring NH.
Now would be a good time to start applying bug spray to your players as a pre-practice routine. Sea Road and the HS is surrounded by woods and are damp, so we have many “Maine State Birds” flying around. Stacy West of the 5/6 has purchased some bug spray for the shed at Sea Road – if you need some, please ask. It would be good if someone stocked up for the 7/8 team.
